I don't know what to think...already pre- ordered the album, what, last week...could cancel, but I won't. No, Michael probably wouldn't have released this song, at least not like it is...but it is a nice song. It's not the mind blowing kick in the face we wanted..and yes all they want is our money...but at this point I'd be happy just listening to a track of him breathe for three minutes....I know...but that's how I feel...

People can say what they want but This Is It is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I have listened to it so many times and I cry every time. It could have been recorded a thousand times by a thousand artists but this IS it. His voice pulls at my heart and I am drawn beside him. I feel like he is singing to me, like he has truely seen my face a thousand times and I have seen his just as many. He is gone but he is still here and his voice still has the power to move me. I want to buy it. Hope it is available soon as a single release. I would like to hear the unedited version. Too bad Mr. Anka could not have taken care of his issues with the song quietly. A friend of mine looked up the patent and Michael's name is on it. No mention of Paul Anka. I think his last release was "You're Having My Baby"..... Things that make you go hmmmmm.

I think the song is great no matter when it was recorded. I just think Sony should be more careful in future releases to be sure not to run into arkward situations as it did with Paul Anka. Okay, so we all know 'This Is It ' is an old track, and we know the brothers are on it in order to earn performance royalties. And yes, it's upsetting to think that what Michael considered an acceptable standard before a song should be publicly presented has clearly not been adhered to; but as far as musical legacies go, I don't think Michael Jackson's is in any danger. His catalogue, hits and musical ascendancy are peerless. His music transcends race, language and generations, more than that - it is, like Michael - immortal. There is nothing left for him prove. I say this to remind some of the fans who have posted on here ( and who I know in reality are only saying negative things because they are grieving so hard and wanted this release to be amazing ); - that the real battle is not with Sony, who, like any commercial company are naturally seeking to maximize their yield and profit.

It is important that we, as fans, remember Michael Jackson's estate ( which directly benefits his children) will receive 80% of the monies and profit share earned from ticket sales of the movie, the album, opus, posters, exhibitions and so on. The estate is by no means in the clear yet solvency-wise as there are a high number of debt claims and suits that have been made against the estate that need to be honoured. We must keep in mind the bigger picture. We, the worldwide fan community need to be organized, clear-thinking and ready to send any release of Michael's to the top of the billboard ( and any other ) chart to make sure Michael stays heard, recognized and relevant. Save your anger and your energy for those who deserve it. You know who they are. The real battle lies in making sure that those who hurt and adandoned, slandered and ultimately contributed to the degradation and erosion of Michael's joy and spirit while he lived; do not now profit from his death. I am of course talking about Rabbi Shmuley, Ian Halpern, Nancy Grace, Diane Dimond, Gloria Allred, Martin Bashir and Tom Sneddon. Redirect your rage and your anger away from Sony who are simply doing what all record giants do, and instead let us join together and boycott Shmuley's book. There is no need to buy it, it is available for download on this very site.

And yes, it's upsetting to think that what Michael considered an acceptable standard before a song should be publicly presented has clearly not been adhered to; but as far as musical legacies go, I don't think Michael Jackson's is in any danger. His catalogue, hits and musical ascendancy are peerless. His music transcends race, language and generations, more than that - it is, like Michael - immortal. There is nothing left for him prove. I say this to remind some of the fans who have posted on here ( and who I know in reality are only saying negative things because they are grieving so hard and wanted this release to be amazing ); - that the real battle is not with Sony, who, like any commercial company are naturally seeking to maximize their yield and profit.

It is important that we, as fans, remember Michael Jackson's estate ( which directly benefits his children) will receive 80% of the monies and profit share earned from ticket sales of the movie, the album, opus, posters, exhibitions and so on. The estate is by no means in the clear yet solvency-wise as there are a high number of debt claims and suits that have been made against the estate that need to be honoured. We must keep in mind the bigger picture. We, the worldwide fan community need to be organized, clear-thinking and ready to send any release of Michael's to the top of the billboard ( and any other ) chart to make sure Michael stays heard, recognized and relevant. Save your anger and your energy for those who deserve it. You know who they are. The real battle lies in making sure that those who hurt and adandoned, slandered and ultimately contributed to the degradation and erosion of Michael's joy and spirit while he lived; do not now profit from his death. I am of course talking about Rabbi Shmuley, Ian Halpern, Nancy Grace, Diane Dimond, Gloria Allred, Martin Bashir and Tom Sneddon. Redirect your rage and your anger away from Sony who are simply doing what all record giants do, and instead let us join together and boycott Shmuley's book. There is no need to buy it, it is available for download on this very site.

All of us can now play our part in refusing to allow Shmuley, or anyone else for that matter, to distort the truth of Michael's beauty, innocence and integrity.

Friends: I mean I think a big mistake this concern of "new music to release, or be old ..." after all, this is just the same format it, and his voice too. Anyway, I LOVED THE MUSIC!! I just think the family should be more concerned about the disclosure because after scandals, just what Michael has.

I was really excited upon hearing the song..i loved it the first time i heard it played on the radio..but after learning that it was actually been 1st recorded years back by another artist, i was kind of disappointed not with Michael but with sony and the estate administrators. They should have known better..knowing Michael as being perfectionist and everything, he would not have allowed it to be released just because it was the same title as his supposedly comeback tour. Sony & the administrators really messed up big time with this. I hope next time they will act more responsibly because thats what Michael wants them to be and the reason why they were hired in the first place. I don't know what to think...already pre- ordered the album, what, last week...could cancel, but I won't. No, Michael probably wouldn't have released this song, at least not like it is...but it is a nice song. This song could have been a number one for Michael, now with all the controversy, especially the media are going to ruin this, they will not let Michael alone.
I don't understand why the family would want something out there that is obviously not perfected by Michael, it was a decision because that is the only song they could find in the vault that had the words "This Is It". I have been listening to this is it, and I have been a real Mike fan for 16 years now but this song is s***!!! this NEVER would have even been released if MJ were alive! The only reason this song ever was released was because Mike sings"this is it, here I stand........etc" and the movie is called This Is It because the concerts were called this is it. THIS IS NOT A NEW SONG, Mike by the sounds of his voice recorded it early to mid 80's and didnt release it because it is s***!! Sony were is What More Can I Give? or Hold My Hand? at least they are decent songs!!! I heard that sony are going to release Mike songs"sparingly" so that means that we will get one unreleased song with a new greatest hits compilation every few years. I urge all MJ's fans to boycott this coming album or the next single will be Cant let her get away take 31 - but even that would be better then this is it!!!!

Wow thats a great song but I didnt expect anything else from Michael. It did make me cry though but thats ok as well as Ive cried every day since he died. What also made me cry was the disgusting way Sony is making this track available to fans!! Please release this as a single so I can buy it otherwise, like most of his fans I would think, I wont be buying the double cd. As a MJ lifelong fan I, and all his other fans, have the other tracks over and over and as great as they are I dont want them again and will not be buying them just to get one track. HELP!!
I was hoping some other unreleased singles of MJ`s (and there must be 100`s come on) would be on here too. Very disappointed!! for me, his fans and for MJ himself as I think sales are not going to be what they could have been. ITS NOT GOOD.
